Widely considered one of Africa’s finest safari camps, Wilderness Mombo occupies a privileged position on Chief’s Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta. The camp sits within a 35,000-hectare private concession that has been wildlife-protected since Wilderness established it in the 1980s, resulting in extraordinary game density: lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, hyena, elephant, giraffe and buffalo can all be seen in a single day. Completely rebuilt in 2019, Mombo sets the benchmark for Botswana safari luxury. Nine spacious tented suites are raised several metres off the ground beneath large, shady trees overlooking the floodplains, featuring private plunge pools, private viewing decks and covered salas. The camp offers game drives, guided walking safaris and night drives. Rates are fully inclusive. Conservation Fee applies. Mombo is the flagship camp of Wilderness Safaris and a beacon of impactful, responsible tourism.
