Nxai Pan Camp is the only permanent camp in Nxai Pan National Park, the secret safari superstar of Southern Africa. Zebras migrate here by the thousands during the rainy season to drop their young, completing the longest mammal migration in Southern Africa. Dust-white elephants depend on the permanent waterhole (situated right in front of camp) during the dry season, and Kalahari black-maned lions and other predators are regular sightings. Nine spacious tents include a lounge area, indoor and outdoor showers, and a private veranda facing the waterhole. One room has an additional twin bedroom for families. The main area has a swimming pool and open-air lounge with decor echoing the salt pan landscape. Activity highlights include nature walks with a San tracker and visits to Baines’ Baobabs, ancient trees immortalised by Thomas Baines.
