Leroo La Tau — meaning ‘lion’s paw’ — sits on the western bank of the Boteti River, opposite the boundary of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Twelve luxurious thatched and glass-fronted suites are raised on wooden platforms with sweeping river and Namibian floodplain views, and the lodge offers guided day and night game drives, water-level-permitting boat activities, and cultural excursions to Khumaga Village, with abundant lion, zebra, wildebeest, leopard, cheetah and hyena in the area.
