HATAB Annual Conference 2026
The Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB) is pleased to announce that its flagship Annual Conference will be convened on 23rd April 2026 at Maun Lodge. Proceedings will be officially opened by the Minister of Environment and Tourism, Hon. Wynter Boipuso Mmolotsi.
Since its inception in 1985, the HATAB Annual Conference has served as the premier stakeholder engagement platform for Botswana’s tourism sector. This year’s event is expected to draw over 200 industry leaders, senior government officials, representatives from financial institutions, and local community stakeholders.
This year’s theme, “Redefining Tourism Strategies to Reshape the Botswana Tourism Landscape,” underscores the industry’s dedication to fostering long-term and sustainable growth. The conference serves as a catalyst for innovation, encouraging public-private dialogue to maintain Botswana as a world-class travel destination.

- Keynote Addresses by high-level government officials and global industry experts.
- Strategic Panel Discussions focusing on air connectivity, land concessions, labour productivity, investment, and community participation.

Notice of the 2026 Annual General Meeting
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all HATAB members that the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Wednesday 22nd April 2026 at 0830 hours at Cresta Maun Hotel in Maun.
Agenda
- Read the notice convening the meeting and agree on the Agenda items.
- Approve the Minutes for the previous Annual General Meeting held on 23rd April, 2025.
- Discuss Action Items and any matters arising from those Minutes.
- Receive and consider the Chairperson’s Report.
- Receive and consider the HATAB Sectors’ Reports.
- Receive and consider the Audited Financial Statements of the Association for the year ended 31st December 2025.
- Appoint auditors for the ensuing year.
- Conduct elections for the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Executive Committee, and any other Committee or Sub-Committee.
- Discuss Any other business.
