Nxai Pan Camp is the only permanent camp in Nxai Pan National Park — the secret safari superstar of Southern Africa. Zebras migrate here by the thousands during the rainy season to drop their young, completing the longest mammal migration in Southern Africa. Dust-white elephants depend on the permanent waterhole (situated right in front of camp) during the dry season, and Kalahari black-maned lions and other predators are regular sightings. Nine spacious tents include a lounge area, indoor and outdoor showers, and a private veranda facing the waterhole. One room has an additional twin bedroom for families. The main area has a swimming pool and open-air lounge with décor echoing the salt pan landscape. Activity highlights include nature walks with a San tracker and visits to Baines’ Baobabs — ancient trees immortalised by Thomas Baines.
