Letaka Safaris is a citizen-owned safari company that has been operating in Botswana since 2000. The founding directors, known locally as the Letaka Brothers, have over 34 years of combined guiding experience and have been guiding full-time in Botswana since the mid-90’s. Originally all our safaris were owner-guided but the company now employs a growing team of Botswana’s most highly qualified mobile safari guides. The company was also featured in a six-part Nat Geo Wild series called “Safari Brothers”.

Letaka Safaris offers small group scheduled safari departures as well as private and tailor-made safaris. Our safaris are semi-luxury mobile safaris meaning that there is a team that sets up camp ahead of time and looks after all aspects of the camp. This team consists of a chef and camphands who are there to make the safari even more enjoyable. The camp staff setup and break down camp as required as well as carrying our various daily camp chores ensuring our guests enjoy total relaxation on safari.

Apart from the conventional wildlife viewing safaris, Letaka Safaris offers specialised birding safaris and dedicated photographic departures and workshops complete with photography mounts as well as a scheduled lodge-to-lodge safari, all with our exceptional guides.
